Annual Public Lecture and Open House

We are pleased to announce the 2008 Museum Public Lecture on the evening of Friday, February 8. Our lecturer will be the eminent ecologist Dr. Daniel Simberloff. Dr. Simberloff will present an open, public lecture, "Biological Invasions: A Global Threat, But A Winnable War" (see published advertisement) from 7pm to 8pm in Independence Hall 100 (near the intersection of 17th Ave and Neil Ave on OSU Campus, not far from the Tuttle Park Place Garage).

Then, one week later, the Fourth Museum Open House will be held at the OSU Museum of Biological Diversity (1315 Kinnear Road, Columbus, just east of Upper Arlington) on Saturday, February 16, 2008, from 10am to 4pm. The Open House is free of charge, and parking is also free. In addition to material related to the topic of Alien Invaders, the public is invited to tour our facility and see the labs and the "behind the scenes" collections spaces. We will display many of our most interesting specimens, and provide dozens of OSU experts to answer questions.
