Citizen Science in the Fish Division: The more we find out about the world we live in, the more we come to realize: Its a big world out there!  So big in fact that scientists have trouble finding time to document all the information in our constantly changing world.  We need volunteers to help collect fishes and information about them, catalog and find more information for our fish vouchers, and maintain our collections.

Click here for more details, or Contact the Associate Curator to find out about opportunities to help us conduct our research.Current Research

As part of the Ohio Biodiversity Conservation Partnership, research by the Fish Division is focused on compiling fish distribution data for the State of Ohio from all known and verifiable sources.  This data will be made available to the public via the Fish Division Database and to bio-data aggregators such as Fishnet2.
