Several of our collections collaborate with the Ohio Division of Natural Resources (ODNR), some participate in a formal partnership, OBCP, between Ohio State's Department of Evolution, Ecology, and Organismal Biology (EEOB), School of Environment and Natural Resources (SENR), and the Ohio Division of Wildlife.
The Borror Laboratory of Bioacoustics has produced several animal sound CDs in collaboration with ODNR which also include some booklets with information about vocalizing species. You can order these CDs and booklets directly from ODNR, pick them up in the Borror lab (at 1315 Kinnear Rd) or download the PDFs from the ODNR webpage.
The Division of Wildlife offers a variety of education materials.
Currently the Triplehorn insect collection and ODNR are conducting a survey of dragonflies in Ohio to update the original survey that ran from 1991 – 2001. The new survey will run from 2017 through 2019 and culminate in a lay-person book on Ohio Dragonflies and Damselflies.
