2014 marked the 10th anniversary of the Museum Open House and we celebrated in style. The theme revolved around the tools and technologies that are used by scientists in the study of biodiversity. From the simplest insect trap to the most sofisticated biodiversity informatics and molecular tools, we showcased them all.
It was a year of big firsts. We introduced several new activities, invited university notables for an early viewing, used both traditional and innovative tools to better evaluate our audience's size, demographics, and interests, and incorporated social media in various aspects of the event. The result was a ressounding success and record attendance.
