The Triplehorn Insect Collection is among the largest university research insect collections in North America, holding about 4 million dry-mounted specimens from the USA and countries around the world, including over 2,700 primary types and thousands of secondary types.

Research Visits - The collection welcomes research scientists interested in studying our specimens. Work space is very limited so any research visit must be schedule in advance.

Guide Tours - We offer guided tours for groups, classes, and individuals in the local community. During the tour visitors get to see not only the showy insect displays, but also to experience a bit of our vast collection as well. 

Due to limited staff and space, all tours and visits are available by appointment only. Walk-ins cannot be accommodated.
