New crayfish species!

jewel mudbug

The Jewel Mudbug, a new crayfish species, was described by Bronwyn Williams (WLU), Zac Loughman (NCSM) and EEOB Grad student, Mael Glon. The authors named the crayfish (Lacunicambarus dalyae) after EEOB Professor, Dr. Meg Daly, for all that she had done to make this research possible.

The paper is open access and can be downloaded from the Zootaxa website.
