Museum of Biological Diversity Open House
The natural world has many secret lines of communication. The one that is most obvious to us is color.
The Museum of Biological Diversity Open House is the largest outreach event in the College of Arts & Sciences at The Ohio State University. Our theme for the 2016 event is “Living Colors.”
We are looking for original and exciting interpretations of the theme as it applies to biodiversity and the role of color in Nature. Designs will be used for the event’s t-shirts, posters, and event adverts. Winners will receive the prizes listed below plus exposure at a large community event.
Submission Deadline: January 15th, 2016 by 5:00 p.m.
Requirements
The design should be three to five flat colors and suitable for a silkscreen t-shirt, no more than 8.0 inches in height and 10.0 inches in width. The content of the design should relate to the theme of the Open House and the concept of biodiversity.

Represent all seven of the Museum collections in the design.
The collections are: Acarology, Borror Lab of Bioacoustics, C. A. Triplehorn Insect Collection, Fishes, Herbarium, Molluscs, and Tetrapods. Visit Museum of Biological Diversity Collections for descriptions of the collections and links to each collection webpage.
Make thoughtful choices regarding colors.
The limited palette of the design means that your color decisions should work well together and contribute to the overall design.
