October is Tetrapods month - help us preserve them

Museum cabinet too heavy and large to be evacuated

Let’s make October the month of tetrapods. Think about the changes in the lives of these four-limbed creatures in fall as they prepare for a long cold period with limited access to food. Birds migrate south, mammals prepare for hibernation, so do some amphibians, and reptiles go dormant. As a tetrapod, how does your life change with the colder temperatures and shorter days?

This month we will explore this and other questions through posts on Facebook, our blog sites (MBD and Tetrapods) and a crowd fundraiser for a new cabinet for our extinct species. Help us ensure that these specimens will be here for future generations to see. Watch a video about our project and Donate today!

Let us know what you would like to know about tetrapods and we will do our best to answer your questions.
